Man Stabbed Over Beer In Hackettstown: Police

Nicole Russell was charged with aggravated assault and jailed, police said.

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ - A 46-year-old Mansfield Township woman was jailed after stabbing a man in the shoulder on Jan. 4, according to the Hackettstown Police Department.

Hackettstown police were called to an apartment on the 200 block of Main Street at 6:30 p.m. for a report of a medical assist and determined Nicole Russell confronted confronted a man about having beer inside the residence, police said.

During the confrontation, Russell stabbed the man in the left shoulder with a small pocket knife, police said. The victim was transported to Morristown Medical Center and Russell was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, and disorderly conduct, police said.

Russell was lodged in the Warren County Correctional Facility.
