Hackettstown Resident Named 2013 'Exceptional Educator'
Peggy Zappulla will get nationwide attention for improving kids' lives through technology.

A Hackettstown resident who teaches at the Matheny School in Peapack has been named as one of Exceptional Parent Magazine’s “Exceptional Educators for 2013,” according to the Warren Reporter.
Margaret “Peggy” Zappulla was honored for rolling out technological initiatives to benefit the special-needs school's students, who deal with medically complex developmental disabilities. Among the tools she has brought to the youngsters at Peapack-based Matheny are SMART boards and tables, iPads and HO-Touch, iMac and Powerbook computers.
Zappulla will appear with similarly honored U.S. educators in Exceptional Parent Magazine’s Annual Education issue for September.
