Missing Hackettstown Woman's Cell Phone Traced to New York City, Cops Say
Krysten Mendez left her Sharp Street residence on Easter morning.

Just two days after she left home with two large bags and the clothes on her back, a cell phone owned by Krysten Mendez has been traced to Queens, New York, police said.
The 24-year-old Hackettstown woman left her home on Sharp Street around 10:30 a.m. Sunday, April 5 and was reported missing Monday morning.
Phone records show her cell phone was used in the Briarwood section of Queens around 12:34 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, police said.

“Due to her mental impairment, anyone that locates Krysten Mendez is not to approach her and to call 911 immediately,” police said in the update.
A possible destination is unknown, but Mendez allegedly left the home with two black and white duffle bag type purses, police said.

Mendez is described as a white female, 5 foot 4 inches tall, 194 pounds, black eyes, black hair, and was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, red shorts, and a silver ring on each hand.
Anyone with information regarding Mendez’s whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1 or Hackettstown Police at 908-852-3300.
