New Mayor Highlights Quiet Hackettstown Election

All races were uncontested this election cycle in Hackettstown.

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ - It was a quiet election night with no surprises as a series of primarily uncontested contests here on the slate in Hackettstown.

The governing body in Hackettstown will look different in January as Gerald DiMaio will be sworn in as mayor earning 2,158 votes.

Leonard Kunz and Eric Tynan earned seats on the dais with 1,998 and 2,014 votes respectively.

To fill the one-year unexpired term on the council, Jody M. Becker held the lead over Brian Willis, 1,443 to 1,241.

The three seats on the Hackettstown Board of Education will be filled by Malainie Hibler who earned 1,737 votes, Bhojeewattie Soobryan who earned 1,756 voted and Robert Moore who earned 1,606 votes.

All three ran unopposed.

All results are based off of unofficial tallies provided by the Warren County Clerk's Office. Results won't be official until they are certified. Certification is expected by Nov. 20.
