Officers to be Promoted at Council Meeting

The regular meeting of Hackettstown Mayor and Council Thursday night will involve several changes to the Hackettstown Police Department, both in personnel and building.

On the governing body’s agenda is the oath of office for Patrolman Glen Brotzman and Detective Darren Tynan to be promoted to both be promoted to Sergeant. Both officers join Sgt. Zellars, Sgt. Ficarra, and Sgt. Caccese in the department under that title.

An ordinance introduction is also on the table at Thursday night’s meeting to provide funding for improvements to the police department’s locker room.

The council is also expected to discuss the bids received by contractors for the East Prospect Street Improvement project.

The meeting is open to the public and begins at 7:30 p.m. at the municipal building, located at 215 West Stiger Street.
