Pokemon Go Player Finds $2,000 At Pokestop: Police

The player found the money on the ground.

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — A Pokemon Go player found $2,000 while at a Pokestop Wednesday afternoon, police said.

The player found the money on the ground and went into a nearby business to let them know he found the money, police said.

At the same time the money was found, police received a report that the money was missing, authorities said.

An officer went to the business and was told by an employee that the money was found near the business; the officer checked surveillance footage of the man who found the money and saw him walking on Main Street, police said.

The man returned the money to the officer and it was returned to the owner, police said.
