Police Log: Recent Arrests in Hackettstown
Hackettstown Police reported the following recent activity, including a DUI and an attempted liquor store theft.

The following actions were reported by the Hackettstown Police Department:
- An Independence Township woman was arrested at about 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 5. after Hackettstown Police initiated a traffic stop on her vehicle on Bryant Drive. Judith Reiser, 55, committed a moving violation on Route 604, which caused the officers to perform a traffic stop. When an officer talked to Reiser, he smelled alcohol on her breath, police said. Reiser was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to a breath test, speeding and careless driving. She's awaiting a court appearance.
- Marlene Casey, 70, of Hackettstown was charged with shoplifting at ShopRite Wine and Spirits on 80 Route 46 on Aug. 7. Casey put a 750ML bottle of Absolute Vodka in her purse and tried to exit the store, police said. Casey is awaiting a court appearance.
