Police Seek Driver In Route 80 Hit And Run That Injured Hopatcong Man

The man was riding a motorcycle at the time of the crash.

ALLAMUCHY, NJ— New Jersey State Police are looking for the driver of a car that struck and seriously injured a motorcyclist on Route 80 in Allamuchy.

Jason Hutchinson, 37, of Hopatcong was riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle when he was struck at 5:15 p.m. on Sunday, near milepost 21.5 in Allamuchy. Police characterized his injuries as "serious."

When State Police arrived on scene, the other car had already left. Police believe the car was a silver minivan.

Hutchinson was airlifted to Morristown Memorial Hospital, where he was in critical condition.
