Police: Woman Was High, Passed Out in Quick Chek Parking Lot

Hopatcong woman faces drug charges after she was found passed out at the wheel, according to report.

A Hopatcong woman was found passed out at the wheel under the influence of narcotics while she was parked outside the Quick Chek on Main Street last Saturday, police said.
 
Megan Harvey, 26, was charged with driving under in the influence, possession of a hypodermic syringe, possession of drug paraphernalia and being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance.

According to Sgt. Darren Tynan, officers responded to the Quick Chek for a report of a possibly intoxicated person in a parked vehicle at about 4:30 p.m. last Saturday.

The investigation revealed Harvey was under the influence of a narcotic, Tynan said. Harvey was found in possession of three hypodermic syringes, possession of drug paraphernalia and being under the influence of drugs.

Harvey was released pending a court appearance.

Harvey was also twice arrested in Hackettstown in a span of three days in March. Harvey was charged with drug possession following a motor vehicle stop on Route 46 and was accused of making fraudulent ATM deposits at a local bank.
