Pork Roll Festival Coming To Warren County

Or should it be the Taylor ham festival? Either way, it'll be delicious.

PHILLIPSBURG, NJ— If you ever want to start a fight in New Jersey, just ask a group of people, "Is it pork roll or Taylor ham?" If you ever want to bring people together, just fry some up.

For lovers of the N.J. specialty, North Jersey's first pork roll festival will be held this September in Phillipsburg. The Town of Phillipsburg announced the upcoming festival on their Facebook page, taking an apparent side in the naming debate.

Mayor Stephen Ellis said the breakfast meat has a "regional flare, a regional speciality" when discussing the plans, Lehigh Valley Live said.

Dates have not been set yet, but officials are hopeful a September weekend will work, nj.com reported.

Can't wait until September to get your pork roll fix? The annual Trenton Pork Roll Festival is on May 27, for those willing to make the drive.
