Recent Police Activity in Hackettstown
Hackettstown Police reported the following activity, including a DWI arrest and a fall victim.

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — The following actions were reported by the Hackettstown Police Department:
DWI ARREST
On Oct. 8, a Hackettstown Police Officer arrested a Long Valley man for driving while intoxicated, and driving while intoxicated in a school zone. At about 5:01 a.m., an officer saw a vehicle stopped in the parking lot of 700 Grand Ave. The officer approached the vehicle, which was running, and saw Christian Suarez, 28, slumped over the steering wheel, police said. The officer also detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from inside the vehicle, through the driver side window. The officer woke Suarez up and arrested him. Suarez was released and awaits a court appearance, police said.

FALL VICTIM
On Oct. 9 at about 3:57 a.m., the Hackettstown Police and the Hackettstown Rescue Squad received a call regarding a fall victim in the 100 block of Main St. Officers discovered a heavily intoxicated, 26-year-old Hackettstown man who walked off the roof and fell approximately 10-12 feet onto the ground, police said. The man had facial injuries from the fall. The victim was airlifted by Atlantic Air One to Morristown Medical Center, where he was listed in good condition as of Monday morning.

TRAFFIC WARRANT
On Oct. 7, Hackettstown Police arrested a 26-year-old Wharton man on a municipal court traffic warrant. Jose Acosta had a $300 warrant for his arrest. Acosta posted bail and was released, police said.
