Recent Arrests in Hackettstown

Recent arrests include disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, and more.

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — The following actions were reported by the Hackettstown Police Department:

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

On Oct. 2, Roger Fernandez, 19, of Succasunna, was charged with disorderly conduct, obstructing administration of law and alcohol consumption by a minor. At around 2:15 a.m., Hackettstown Police responded to a call regarding a disorderly and intoxicated male at Van Winkle Hall at Centenary University. An officer heard yelling coming from inside the door room. When the officer confronted Fernandez, he refused to give identification and was arguing with the officer, police said. The officer smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from Fernandez. When the officer tried to place Fernandez under arrest for refusing to comply with an officer, Fernandez tensed his muscles and resisted the arrest by not allowing the officer to place his hand behind his back, police said. Once Fernandezwas placed under arrest, he refused to walk at times and then refused to get into the patrol vehicle. Fernandez was later released pending a court appearance.

DISTURBING THE PEACE

On Oct. 2 at approximately 12:06 a.m., Hackettstown Police responded to the 400 block of Church St. for a noise complaint. Officers heard loud noise and observed about 90 or more people leaving the residence, police said. Officers identified the homeowner as Bryan Tarasuk, 20, of New York, NY. Bryan was charged with disturbing the peace and was released pending a court appearance.

ARREST FOR WARRANTS

On Oct. 2, Hackettstown Police arrested Jeffrey Moreira, 25, of Hackettstown on a $500 Hackettstown municipal court traffic warrant. Jeffrey posted bail and was released, police said. Hackettstown officers also arrested Rekeen Bright, 38, of Hackettstown on Oct. 2 on a $264 Hackettstown municipal court traffic warrant. Rekeem posted bail and was released, police said.

ARREST FOR WARRANTS

Hackettstown Police arrested a Mansfield Township woman on a court traffic warrant and a municipal court criminal warrant on Sept. 30. Annamaria Karner, 33, had a $253 Hackettstown municipal court traffic warrant and a $500 Mansfield Township municipal court criminal warrant, police said. Karner posted bail and was released.
