Recent Arrests in Hackettstown: Police

Hackettstown Police Department reported the following arrests, including DUI and a warrant arrest.

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — Hackettstown Police Department reported the following arrests:

DUI ARREST

At around 1:34 p.m. Sept. 30, Hackettstown Police were called to the Grand Ave. area on a report of an erratic motor vehicle. An officer found the vehicle on Grand Ave. and initiated a traffic stop. When the officer spoke with the driver, Christine Pawlak, 56, of Mansfield Township, he noticed Pawlak seemed impaired, police said. It was determined that Pawlak was under the influence of a narcotic while operating her vehicle. She was charged with driving while impaired, reckless driving and unregistered motor vehicle, police said. Pawlak was released pending a court appearance.

WARRANT ARREST

On Oct. 11, Hackettstown Police arrested a Hackettstown man on a no bail, Long Branch municipal court criminal warrant. Mark Matzek, 53, was turned over to the Long Branch police, police said.
