This is a 2 day, 14 hour walk, where teams take turns always having one member on the track at all times. All minors age 18 and under must be chaperoned by someone 25 or older. Wristbands are given out to wear and be checked. Parental permission forms and chaperone forms can be found on the website. Periodic group check ins will be conducted. All tents must leave their doors open, as well. It is also suggested that each team hold a fundraiser at their campsite at Relay. There is a website called Relay Nation which gives lots of ideas for that.

9:00pm is the Luminaria Ceremony where we remember those we have lost to this deadly disease and honor those who have survived. This is a very somber time of reflection and reminds us all of the reasons we are there. Candles lit in bags each representing a person, surround the track. With the lights dimmed, the Silent Lap can be an emotional one for many people.
