Support Sought for Eating Disorders Benefit Walk in Long Valley
Informational meeting set for 10 a.m. Saturday at Washington Township Public Library.

A young Long Valley woman is looking to take on a major project in Washington Township, and is asking for the support of others in the community.
Haley Del Plato is starting a National Eating Disorders Awareness benefit walk in the area and has planned an informational meeting for those interested on Saturday at the Washington Township Library.
The meeting will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. and anyone interested is urged to contact Del Plato or show up at the meeting. Del Plato can be reached at hdelplato@colgate.edu.

The National Eating Disorders Association, or NEDA, was formed in 2001 after the joining of Eating Disorders Awareness and Prevention and American Anorexia Bulimia Association, according to the organization’s website.
Twenty million women and 10 million me will suffer from a “clinically significant” eating disorder at some point in their life, NEDA’s website said.
