Teen Was Not Kidnapped In Hackettstown, Police Say
Following a "lengthy investigation," police are saying the teen girl was not taken against her will.

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — A teenager was not taken against her will in Hackettstown last week despite reporting that she was, police said on Wednesday.
The 17-year-old girl told police that she was approached from behind by a man who "forced something over [her] mouth" forcing her to pass out while walking around town on March 1. Following a "lengthy investigation," police are saying that she was not taken against her will.
The investigation is ongoing, and police said they will not be releasing any further information.

Schools in Hackettstown increased security as a result of the girl's claims, superintendent David C. Mango said at the time.
