Tornado Warning Issued For Warren County

Breaking: The warning is in effect until 8:45 p.m. tonight.

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for Warren County from 8:15 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. Tuesday night.

The NWS issued the following warning:

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.

The storm is expected to pass by Blairstown, Hope, Echo Lake and Werry Lake at 8:45 p.m.

There is also currently a severe thunderstorm warning in effect for Warren, Sussex and Morris counties. Residents can expect strong winds, hail and rain during the storm.
