Town to Pick Up Trees Limbs, Debris Next Week
Materials placed curbside will be removed by Hackettstown.

A swath of trees and limbs are piled on lawns and driveways, and as residents seek ways to get rid of those arbors, the town will be providing the service to remove debris beginning Monday, Nov. 5, according to Hackettstown’s website.
The town will begin collecting the material on Monday, and the special collection will end on Friday, Nov. 9, the website says. The town will visit each neighborhood once.
Tree limbs need to be placed curbside, the website says, and not in the roadway. Trees or limbs in excess of 12-inches in diameter will not be taken. All debris being removed must be a result of the storm and not from previous damage.

During this time, the curbside collection of leaves will be suspended, the website says. The town will also assess damage done to town-owned trees and address what trimming needs to be done as well.
