Two School Thefts Under Investigation

Construction and other materials were stolen from two Hackettstown schools in the past week, police said.

Officers responded to Hackettstown High School Tuesday morning after it was discovered ladders and construction materials were stolen from a job site at there. The theft occurred sometime between last Wednesday and Columbus Day, Sgt. Darren Tynan said.

Recyclable material was also reported stolen from the Hatchery Hill School, Tynan said. The theft occurred sometime between Friday and Monday, Tynan said.
