Water From Cracked Fish Tank Extinguished Hackettstown Fire
Police say the fish tank both caused and extinguished the fire.

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — A small fire was extinguished in Hackettstown after a fish tank cracked and spilled water, Hackettstown police said.
Police say a small fish tank motor caught fire in a Lafayette Street home early Friday morning, spreading to a nearby wall. All residents were out of the home, and the home was filled with smoke when firefighters arrived around 5:11 a.m, police said.
Firefighters didn't have to work too hard to extinguish the fire: the heat from the flames cracked the aquarium glass, and the leaking water put out the flames. No injures were reported.
