41 Arrested in South Jersey Heroin Sting

Police in Camden County arrested 41 people Thursday for attempting to purchase heroin during an undercover sting operation. Of the 41 arrested, 90 percent are from the suburbs, according to information from Camden County Police Department.

The individuals arrested were caught trying to purchase drugs from undercover officers in the area of Chestnut and Baring streets in Camden. Each of the buyers arrested was charged with Criminal Attempted Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, police said.

Ten of the people arrested also had their vehicles impounded.

The Camden County Police Department worked with the Camden County Sheriff’s Department and Camden County Prosecutor’s Office to conduct the sting.
