Part 2: Diagnosing the Problem
But rather than a case of clinical “insanity”, such behavior, in my view, is more akin to the so-called “Stockholm syndrome”, albeit, arguably of quite a virulent strain, since it involves the very stability of the black populace. This syndrome, as is well known, is characterized by compliance and submissiveness in the victim, who thereby develops positive feelings for, and identification with, his/her abuser, thereby sharing an eerie similarity with the behavior displayed by black voters.
Nevertheless, were a Republican to dare criticize the deprivations blacks continue to endure under Democrat tutelage, his would be spontaneous condemnation for being “racist” towards blacks, imbued with evil motives towards them. Thankfully, the historical record is otherwise. On the contrary, it rejects this odious calumny against Republicans, trumpeting the historic role of the Republican Party for its staunch support of black civil rights, often in the face of robust Democrat resistance.
The truth is Democrats have long misled their unwitting black supporters to accept the falsehood the Republican Party bears the responsibility for their plight: their low education standards, un- and under-employment, and familial degeneration - a convenient fiction aimed at deflecting from the reality of failed decades-old, pernicious Democrat policies, starting with the ruination of the black family unit and the resultant degradation of the human spirit.
Central to these policies is the arrogant presumption that blacks are somehow incapable of fending for themselves, as if lacking in intelligence and individual worth. Therefore, the government-as-bread-winner-in-chief” must replace the head of the household. And, undergirded by a failed education system, the result is that too many blacks are left un-prepared to explore and exploit their God-given talents to the fullest.
Hence, as things stand, it would be pointless to deny the conclusion that grave constraints still weigh heavy upon efforts to liberate the full intellectual power and potential of black America.
