Best-selling author, U.S. Army veteran, motivational speaker, and frequent Oprah Winfrey guest Wes Moore will deliver the keynote address when Catholic Partnership Schools hosts its 7th annual Education Summit, “Fostering Growth in the Midst of Trauma,” March 22, 2019 in Mount Laurel, N.J. The summit, which is open to the public, is expected to draw educators, academics, psychologists and social workers, as well as parents, with an interest in improving odds of success for students in impoverished and urban school districts.

Moore, who is also CEO of Robin Hood, the largest anti-poverty nonprofit will engage his audience with his trademark, TED-style talk on his own experiences growing up in the inner city, the “other Wes Moore” documented in his New York Times bestseller of the same name, finding passion in whatever you do, and the importance of teachers in their students’ lives. His talk will be followed by a question and answer session.

The Education Summit will also feature a presentation by Dr. Michael (Mykee) Fowlin, whose program combines both his professional acting talents and his psychological training, as he helps his audience find the beauty within one’s self and within others.
