HADDONFIELD, NJ — Haddonfield's Fourth of July festivities will not feature a fireworks show. But the borough will celebrate the nation's 250th birthday with a new nighttime spectacle.
Haddonfield will celebrate the holiday with a drone show on July 3, hours after the borough's 250th Birthday Parade.
Both will be among several events taking place in the borough this year to honor the 250th anniversary of the United States of America's founding.

A drone show has been scheduled in its place this year, providing a safer alternative to fireworks, according to borough officials.
The gathering will also feature a block party. A location is to be determined.
The parade is scheduled for 10-11 a.m. July 3 on Kings Highway.
Haddonfield launched a new website highlighting borough events for the nation's 250th anniversary, which will take place throughout the year.
The first event is "A Stitch in Time" on March 15, when The Historical Society of Haddonfield will provide a brief history on 18th century needlework and display more than 20 samplers.
