HADDON HEIGHTS, NJ — A 44-year-old man was convicted of sexually abusing a three-year-old girl at his home, the Camden County Prosecutor's Office said.
Jason R. Anderson, of Haddon Heights, pleaded guilty as part of a plea deal to one count of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, one count of first-degree endangering the welfare of a child-manufacturing child sexual abuse material (CSAM), and one count of third-degree failure to register as a Megan's Law offender.
On Feb. 10, 2025, the Prosecutor's Office and Haddon Heights Police Department were told that a person found photos and videos on Anderson's cell phone that should him sexually abusing a 3-year-old relative.
He shared these files under the screen name "Horny Ped" on a digital application, officials added.
He was arrested on Feb. 10, 2025 and taken to the Camden County Correctional Facility.
"The crimes committed by this defendant are unspeakable and defy comprehension," said Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay. "Although no sentence can undo the devastating harm...our hope is that they can now begin to heal and look ahead to a brighter future."
Anderson is estimated to receive an aggregate term of 35 years in jail. He will be required to serve 25 of those years without the possibility of parole on the first-degree aggravated sexual assault charge.
The remaining 10 years will be subject to parole after Anderson serves 85 percent.
He also will be subject to parole supervision for life and must register with Megan's Law.
Sentencing is scheduled for October 30.
