OAKLYN, NJ — A former youth soccer coach in South Jersey pleaded guilty after he was caught asking for and sending players graphic sexual material, court records show.
Christopher S. Ferrari, who's now in his early 30s, of Oaklyn accepted a plea deal on a charge of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact.
He also faced charges that included manufacturing child pornography and endangering the welfare of a child.
Ferrari was a coach with the South Jersey Elite Barons Youth Soccer Program, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office.
Between 2015 and 2018, he sent graphic images exposing himself to multiple boys on the team, according to court filings.
He also sent them pictures of nude females of undisclosed ages, and videos of himself engaging in intercourse.
Through Instagram and Snapchat, he also pressured the boys to send them photos of themselves naked, officials said.
In one case involving a 13-year-old boy, the child did return multiple photos showing him exposing himself.
Ferrari turned himself in at the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office on Oct. 8, 2019.
Along with a maximum of 18 months in jail and up to a fine of $10,000, Ferrari is prohibited from having any contact with any of the victims and must register under Megan's Law.
