Voorhees Resident Dr. Bruce Schnall Honored at HTCNJ 32nd Annual Gala

Dr. Bruce Schnall, a board-certified pediatric ophthalmology surgeon, was honored at Healing the Children® New Jersey’s 32nd Annual Gala and Awards
Ceremony held April 13, 2013 at Canoe Brook Country Club in Summit, New Jersey.  Diane Calesnick, Nurse
Anesthetist, presented Dr. Schnall with The Sue Tiger Award, conferred upon someone who has shown outstanding volunteer support for HTCNJ and its Medical
Teams Abroad program.

Schnall has been a volunteer with HTCNJ since 2000. 
He participates as the Trip Chief and Ophthalmology Surgeon in the nonprofit’s Medical Teams Abroad program and has traveled on six volunteer pediatric surgical trips to the Dominican Republic and Ecuador.

Schnall is an attending surgeon on the Pediatric and Ocular Genetics Service at the Wills Eye Institute.  He graduated Temple University Medical School and completed his internship at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia.
