Battleship New Jersey Offers View of Fireworks on New Year's Eve

The ship opens to the public at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 31 for the 6 p.m. fireworks and at 10 p.m. for the midnight fireworks.

The Battleship New Jersey will offer two opportunities to view the fireworks over the Delaware River on New Year’s Eve, the Camden County Board of Chosen Freeholders said on Friday.

The ship opens to the public at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 31 for the 6 p.m. fireworks and at 10 p.m. for the midnight fireworks.

Cost is a $10 per person donation to the Battleship New Jersey Museum and Memorial, a non-profit historic ship museum.

The ship is also hosting dinner and breakfast in the crew’s mess, tours the ship and an opportunity to sleep in the bunks for $72 per person.

The museum offers tours Saturdays and Sundays, as well as a few special weekdays, through December.

The Battleship also offers overnight encampments for youth groups and families, special group and student tours and event rentals with a full catering menu.
