Camden County to Conduct Emergency Road Work in Haddonfield and Haddon Township

Work will take place on Kings Highway in Haddonfield and West Park Avenue in Haddon Township.

The Camden County Department of Public Works will conduct emergency road work on roads in Haddonfield and Haddon Township following historically cold weather this winter.

A total of $1.5 million has been allocated for the reconstruction of county roads prior to the spring construction season after historically cold weather the last two winters created the need for this work, according to the Camden County Freeholder Board.

In Haddonfield, road work will take place on Kings Highway. Road work will also take place on West Park Avenue in Haddon Township.

“Since the last snow fall and all winter long, Public Works crews have been diligently working to fill potholes across Camden County,” Camden County Freeholder Ian Leonard, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works, said. “The harsh winter has made it necessary for us to mill and overlay complete sections of road rather than patch holes in the pavement. This will be the first in a number of emergent repairs.”

Potholes can create safety hazards, so Leonard urged drivers to report any pothole they see on Camden County roads.
