Camden County to Hold Children's Fun Day Thursday
More than 200 people are expected to attend the event, which includes family activities, entertainment and community resources.

The Camden County Freeholder Board the Community Planning and Advocacy Council (CPAC) and the Family Success Centers are hosting a Children’s Fair and Family Fun Day on Thursday, April 9 at Campbell’s Field, 10 a.m.
More than 200 people are expected to attend the event, which includes family activities, entertainment and community resources.
These groups are among the partners in the Camden County Covenant for Children, Youth and Families that offers resources, information and opportunities for children to reach their full potential as responsible and productive members of their communities.

Other members of the Covenant include the City of Camden, the United Way of Camden County, the Center for Family Services, the Hispanic Family Center, Respond Inc., the Task Force on Missing and Abused Children, DYFS, educators and community leaders.
The Covenant focuses on early childhood success, positive youth development and strong families.

“We must take action to insure that all children have a safe and nurturing environment in which to develop into adulthood,” Camden County Freeholder Carmen Rodriguez, liaison to the Camden County Department of Health and Human Services, said. “We must provide our children with the proper guidance and environment to prosper. Protecting future generations is everyone’s responsibility.”
