Camden County Officials Announce Phase II of Haddon Avenue Transformation Project

Haddon Avenue is a gateway to Camden and one of the oldest roads in Camden County

The Camden County Board of Freeholders and Camden Mayor Dana L. Redd joined Lourdes Health System President and CEO Alexander J. Hatala at a recent press conference in front of Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center to promote the second phase of the Haddon Avenue Improvement Project.

Haddon Avenue is a gateway to Camden and one of the oldest roads in Camden County. The nine-month project, from Vesper Boulevard to Old White Horse Pike, includes installation of new storm and sewer pipes, road resurfacing, sidewalks, lights and landscaping.

“We look forward to how the Haddon Avenue Transformation Project, Phase II, continues to transform and further beautify the eastern gateway to Camden and our community. Lourdes has proudly called Haddon Avenue in Camden our home for 66 years. Phase II promises to make the eastern end of Haddon Avenue, the welcoming, healing presence that reflects Lourdes and the people of Camden,” said Lourdes President and CEO Alexander J. Hatala.
