Camden County Public Works to be Recognized for Bridge Repairs

Public Works is being recognized for its work on the White Horse Road Bridge.

The Camden County Department of Public Works (CCDPW) will receive an Engineering Excellence Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies of New Jersey for the emergency repairs conducted on the White Horse Road Bridge, county officials said on Wednesday.

“We are proud that the Department of Public Works is being recognized for the outstanding work they did on behalf of the more than 24,000 motorists that use the bridge on a daily basis,” Camden County Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works said. “They worked with engineers, the Delaware River Port Authority and NJ Transit to expedite the repairs to this vital span.”

The White Horse Road Bridge was closed in June in 2014 due to structural concerns. The work was complete and the bridge was reopened by September of the same year.
