Camden County Virtual Town Hall Set For Thursday Evening

Federal, county and local officials will participate in a virtual town hall for Camden County residents Thursday evening, officials said.

CAMDEN COUNTY, NJ — Federal, county and local officials will participate in a virtual town hall for Camden County residents Thursday evening, officials announced.

Rep. Donald Norcross (D-1), Assemblywoman Pamela Lampitt, Camden County Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli Jr. and Cherry Hill Mayor Susan Shin Angulo will be the featured speakers for the event.

The series, “your government, your neighborhood, your voice,” typically rotates between local venues in Camden County municipalities, but is being held virtually via Zoom due to the new coronavirus pandemic.

“We have experienced a dramatic amount of change in a very short period of time, making it more critical than ever that our residents are able to ask questions directly to their representatives at each level of government,” Cappelli said. “While we would much rather be able to meet in person and hold a face-to-face conversation with our constituents, we are thankful that modern technology allows us to continue having these meetings virtually. We encourage any Camden County resident to join us for updates on our coronavirus response, testing, and to ask a question if they have one.”

Hosted by the Camden County Board of Freeholders, the meeting includes a question-and-answer session, providing residents the ability to ask questions and get answers straight from a representative of the governing body and for elected officials to hear directly from their constituents.
