Car Stolen In Haddonfield, Found With Smashed Window: Police

The vehicle was a Kia model that's been susceptible to keyless thefts because of widespread technical issues.

HADDONFIELD, NJ — A vehicle stolen in Haddonfield was recovered with a smashed window and broken steering column, police said Thursday.

The 2018 Kia had no keys inside when it was stolen from Redman Avenue, officials said. Haddonfield police continue to investigate the matter.

Kia vehicles from 2011-22 have been susceptible to thefts because of an immobilizer issue that makes it easy to start the cars without keys in the ignition. Hyundai cars from 2015-22 also have that problem.
