Child Made Online Threats Against Students, Staff At Camden Co. School: Police

The child, 13, has been charged. But police determined that the school community wasn't in any immediate danger.

WINSLOW TOWNSHIP, NJ — A child was charged after making threats against a Camden County middle school's students and staff, officials said Wednesday.

On Monday, police became aware of threatening social media posts that targeted students and employees at Winslow Township Middle School.

Investigators identified a 13-year-old as the suspect. They were charged with creating false public alarm and terroristic threats.

Police did not release any other identifying information about the suspect.

During the investigation, additional officers were assigned to Winslow Township schools as a precaution.

"At no point were students, staff, or the community in any immediate danger," said the Winslow Township Police Department.
