Decrease In Drug, Alcohol Cases In Haddon Township Schools

The Haddon Township Public School District saw a decrease in substance abuse cases last school year, according to a recently released list.

New Jersey has released its annual list of substance-abuse cases reported by each school district, revealing the most recent data of reported cases.

The state has also released the list of highest increases – and biggest reductions – in cases from the previous year, between 2016-17 and 2017-18, which were the most recent years available.

The Haddon Township Public School District reported one case of substance abuse in 2017-18, three less than in 2016-17. Haddonfield also reported just one case of substance abuse last year, but no statistics related to an increase or decrease were provided.

The state Department of Education has cautioned that these numbers are reported by each district, so each jurisdiction is responsible for reporting its results fairly and accurately. But they are required by law to report them.
