Diamond Classic Game Between Haddonfield And St. Augustine Postponed

The game has been rescheduled due to expected inclement weather, the Courier Post reports.

HADDONFIELD, NJ — The first round of the 44th annual Joe Hartmann Diamond Classic has been postponed at least one day due to expected inclement weather, the Courier Post reports. Haddonfield will now face St. Augustine Prep on Sunday afternoon, 4 p.m., at Washington Township. The winner will play the winner of the game between Washington Township and St. Joseph in the second round.

All games in the tournament previously scheduled for Saturday will now be played on Sunday, according to the report. If there is rain on Sunday, games will be played during the week.

Haddonfield qualified for the tournament as the first place team in the Colonial Conference's Liberty Division, according to nj.com. St. Augustine earned an at-large bid to the competition.

A total of 16 teams from what is traditionally considered the South Jersey area will compete in the tournament, with 10 teams qualifying because they were in first place in their division at the cutoff date and six other teams earning at-large bids.

Haddonfield is 10-3 this season, according to nj.com. St. Augustine is 11-4.
