VOORHEES, NJ – Residents and shoppers will get to see Voorhees Police Department’s K-9 dogs on Saturday, March 18 at the Grand Opening Celebrations of EarthWise Pets. The obedience demonstration is scheduled for 11 a.m., unless the dog is called away to an emergency.
A visit from this working dog is only part of the fun at this family-friendly, free Pet Party celebration, says the store’s co-owner Kevin Minteer. Giveaways, tasty pet treat samples, free nail trims and enrichment programs for their owners are in the mix, plus everything in the store will be 10% off for the day.
Also, Earthwise Pet will be raising money during the event, to help fund a new building for Voorhees Animal Orphanage, which is desperately needed.

An industry leader recently called EarthWise, “the Trader Joe’s of pet stores,” due to its unique selection of high-quality, and healthy food options, along with the great mix of toys and treats.
“We decided to open this store because we love our pets and want the best for them and who doesn’t want to work with pets all day?” said Minteer.

“What sets us apart from other stores is that we provide that one-on-one personal level of service that other stores can’t offer, and that you definitely can’t find by shopping online. We love to get to know your pets, and find the perfect combination food, toys, and supplies, for each family’s situation, and to keep our customers’ pets as healthy and happy as possible,” he said.
In addition to the selection of all-natural and healthy treats and foods for dogs and cats, the store also offers self-service and traditional grooming services for dogs AND cats. Earthwise Pet has items for chinchillas, hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs, and of course dogs and cats.
Earthwise Pet Supply in Voorhees is locally owned and operated by husband and wife Kevin Minteer and Nicole Voegtle, residents of Haddon Township. They are experienced pet owners, with three cats, two dogs, and a chinchilla, and are looking forward to becoming an integral part of the local pet community.
