Drug, Alcohol Numbers Released For Local School Districts

Both Haddonfield and Haddon Township saw increases from 2015-16 to 2016-17, new data from the state shows.

Both the Haddonfield and Haddon Township public school districts saw increases in incidents of drugs and alcohol between 2015-16 and 2016-17, according to the most recent statistics available from the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE).

Haddon Township had 4 incidents in 2016-17, according to statistics released by NJDOE within the past month. It ranked 181st among districts across the state. It was an increase of 3 incidents over the previous school year, the 81st highest increase among school districts across the state.

Haddonfield had 1 incident in 2016-17, ranking it 279th among districts across the state. It didn’t have any the previous year, and its increase of 1 incident ranked it 134th in the state.

School districts are required to by law to report these numbers, and NJDOE said it is up to each district to report these numbers fairly and accurately.
