HADDONFIELD, NJ — A rumor of possible school violence brought police to Haddonfield Middle School on Wednesday, officials said.

The rumor was quickly dispelled, and the school day wasn't interrupted, police said.

"There was never any threat to the students, staff or school," said Haddonfield Police Chief Jason Cutler.
