Fatal Stabbing In South Jersey Under Investigation: Prosecutor
Police responded to a report of shots fired but found the victim died from an apparent stabbing wound, authorities said.
MILLVILLE, NJ — Authorities opened a homicide investigation after a fatal stabbing Tuesday, according to the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office.
At about 4:45 p.m., Millville police responded to a report of shots fired on the 600 block of High Street. Arriving officers found the victim — Salmadine Johnson, 40, of Millville — dead from an apparent stabbing wound, the prosecutor's office said.
The investigation is ongoing, and there's no known threat to the public at this time, authorities said Wednesday.
