So, you are probably redoing your closets...hanging clothes up by type and then by color (NO?...give it a try) and have lots of things you have finally decided to give away...pocketbooks, shoes, clothes. There are many great places you can give these things to such as Goodwill, The Grace Church Thrift Shop, and another place, freecycle.org
www.freecycle.org is a site where you can post what you are giving away, people respond (quickly in some cases) and they come and pick the item up. Everything from tvs to books, to baby things...the choices are endless. When I post on freecycle, I tell what the item is, where I am located (zip code/town only...never put your address on line). Once someone says they will pick up the item, I pack it up in a bag or box, put the person's name on it, and put it on my porch. Some people may be a bit leery of this, but I have had great success giving things and getting things this way. Teachers, especially if you are looking for something for you classroom treasure box, this is a good way to add to it.
