Bulldawgs Football, Girl's Soccer; Hawks Boy's Soccer Remain Undefeated

Get caught up with scholastic sports in Haddonfield and Haddon Township.

Winless Haddon Township jumped out to an early lead, but the undefeated Haddonfield High School football team came storming back in a 34-7 win on Friday night, according to statistics posted on nj.com.

Jacob Klaus scored the first two touchdowns for the Bulldawgs, from 29 yards and 5 yards out. Both rushing scores came in the second quarter.

Haddonfield expanded its lead with three scores in the second half. Mike DeFeo had two rushing touchdowns, on scores of 2 and 11 yards. Mike McLaughlin's 8-yard touchdown pass to Jacob Robinson accounted for the other score.

Troy Kondria accounted for all of Haddon Township's scoring, with a 1-yard touchdown run and successful PAT kick in the first quarter for the 7-0 lead.

Haddonfield (3-0) has the week off before traveling to Sterling on Oct. 11, 7 p.m.

Haddon Township (0-3) also has a bye before hosting Gateway on Oct. 11, 7 p.m.

Boys Soccer:

Haddon Township remained undefeated at 6-0 with two shutout victories this week. They return to the field Monday when they visit Woodbury, 4 p.m. They visit Collingswood on Wednesday and host Lindenwold on Friday.

Haddon Township 5, Gateway 0: Elzo Dunn led the way with a goal and three assists as five different players scored for Haddon Township.

Haddon Township 2, Sterling 0: A Hawk scored in each half. Elzo Dunn and Kyler White each had goals, while Bah Moo and Kyle Wade each had an assist. Goalie Joe Gant made 14 saves in the shutout.

Haddonfield moved to 6-2 this week with a win and a loss.

West Deptford 3, Haddonfield 2: The Eagles held a 2-1 halftime lead, and overcame 11 saves from Haddonfield goalie Jonathan Baxter.

Ryan Kappre, Luke McKeown and Cole Van Dorick each scored for West Deptford. Zach Peterson had two assists and Gary Simmons had one. Goalie Perry Corsetti had four saves.

Haddonfield goals came from John Alemi and Wyatt Dugan. Luke Pease had an assist.

Haddonfield 2, Audubon 0: The Bulldogs scored twice in the second half to pull away with the win. John Alemi and Brendan Werner each scored, with assists from Wyatt Dugan and Luke Pease. Goalie Jonathan Baxter made four saves in the shutout.

Haddon Heights improved to 4-3 this week with wins over Gateway and Collingswood.

Haddon Heights 2, Collingswood 0: Jesse Weick scored twice for Haddon Heights, picking up assists from Teddy Davis and Andrew Hicks. Goalie Dan Pender made six saves for Haddon Heights.

Haddon Heights 4, Gateway 1: Tyler Selby led the way for Haddon Heights with two goals, followed by Jesse Weick with a goal and two assists and Eric Cathcart with a goal. Dan Pender made four saves.

Girls' soccer:

Haddonfield 1, West Deptford 0: The Bulldawgs handed the Eagles their first loss of the season in Saturday's battle of unbeatens. Kylie Kirk scored the lone goal, in the second half. Carly Bonnet had the assist.

Haddonfield improved to 8-0, while West Deptford fell to 6-1.

Haddonfield 4, Audubon 1:   Kylie Kirk scored twice, while Carly Bonnet and Kaitlyn Bonnet each had a goal and an assist. Madison Castellano and Shallyn Hatcher each assisted on the goals.

Haddon Heights 3, Collingswood 0: Hailey Myers, Sarah Roselle and Chelsea Thomas all scored for Haddon Heights. Collingswood goalie Jessica Waters made 16 saves in the loss.

Gateway 2, Haddon Heights 1: Regan Tustin scored with the assist from Alex Pease.Goalie Morgan Driver stopped the ball nine times.

Haddon Township dropped to 4-3 with a pair of losses this week, including a 1-0 loss to Gateway. It returns to the field Monday when it hosts Woodbury, 4 p.m.

Sterling 4, Haddon Township 2: Cassidy McSorley scored twice for Haddon Township.
