Haddon Township "Green Team" Meeting

Meeting will be held on Feb. 19 at 7 p.m. at the Haddon Township Environmental and Historical Center.

The Haddon Township’s Green team is having a meeting on Feb. 19 at 7 p.m. at the Haddon Township Environmental and Historical Center, 143 E. Ormond Avenue, Haddon Township, 08107. All are welcome to attend. Registration is recommended to email or phone number listed below. We are also looking for a few good volunteers. Our Mission:

The Haddon Township Green Team is a collaborative effort through which community volunteers work together with municipal representatives to foster community involvement in reaching sustainable, environmental, and fiscally responsible goals. Using a non-political grass roots approach, the team will advocate and educate for sustainable practices in all areas of the community. The Green Team will pursue, promote, and support many methods of helping the community to become more “green,” with an emphasis on the following:

Work closely with youth-based organizations and schools to promote actions and behavior among students and young adults that are consistent with a sustainable vision for the future. Identify, recommend, and pursue grant opportunities to help fund and defray the costs associated with “green” practices. Recommend practices and foster sustained interest and actions resulting in Haddon Township receiving and maintaining certification as a New Jersey Sustainable Community.
