Haddon Township High School Softball Team Makes State Tournament

Haddon Township, NJ -- The Haddon Township High School softball team will begin its quest for a South Jersey title at home.

The Hawks are the No. 7 seed in the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 1 playoffs, according to the bracket posted on nj.com on Tuesday.

Haddon Township will host No. 10 Maple Shade in the first round on Monday, May 23. The winner faces the winner of the game between No. 2 Gloucester and No. 15 Pitman on May 25.

The semifinals are scheduled for May 31, with the finals at Kean University on June 3.

Haddon Township (8-6) defeated Maple Shade (8-11), 9-5, on April 8. Julianna Neel was 3-for-5 with three RBI, a double and a run in that win.

Haddon Township’s longest winning streak of the season reached four games, but the Hawks are 1-3 in their last four outings.
