Haddon Township Readies To End Season With 'Summer Of Love'

HADDON TOWNSHIP, NJ — The "Summer of Love Music Festival" is back in Haddon Township on Saturday, bringing with it eight hours of live music.

This year's family-friendly event will showcase music from the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s, and include a Kids Zone, Dance Dome, inflatables, and other activities.

"Music is timeless," Mayor Randall Teague said in speaking to Patch. "This gives our younger generations a chance to connect with the memories, culture, and experiences of these generations during an event that's fun for the whole family!"

The day's events will take place along Haddon Avenue between Strawbridge Avenue and Cooper Street.

Five bands will hit the stage between 2 and 10 p.m. in downtown Haddonfield including "Invasion 65" (2 to 3:15 p.m.), "Dancin Machine" (3:30 to 4:45 p.m.), "Priceless" (5 to 6:30 p.m.), "Boy Band Project" (6:45 to 8:15 p.m.), and "B Street Band" (8:30 to 10 p.m.)

Food trucks and a beer garden will also be on site.

"I hope everyone leaves with a smile, some great memories, and perhaps a new favorite song or two," Teague added. "Most of all, I hope they leave feeling connected to their neighbors and proud to be part of the Haddon Township community."
