Haddonfield Baseball Team Advances in Playoffs With Win Over Woodstown

The Bulldawgs will host Manchester in the quarterfinals.

Haddonfield, NJ -- The second-seeded Haddonfield High School baseball team scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh to pull out a 4-3 win over No. 15 Woodstown in the first round of the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 2 playoffs on Monday.

Joe Loperfido was 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs. Thomas Kadar was 1-for-3 with an RBI.

Jacob Small picked up the win, pitching in relief after Sean Ilves pitched seven innings, striking out five and surrendering eight hits and three runs.

Haddonfield will host No. 10 Manchester in the quarterfinals on Thursday. Manchester upset No. 7 Lower Cape May, 2-1, on Monday.
