Haddonfield Basketball Teams To Open Playoffs With Doubleheader

HADDONFIELD, NJ — The Haddonfield High School boys and girls basketball teams will open their respective playoff pushes with a doubleheader on Tuesday, Feb. 27.

The girls — the No. 3 seed in the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 2 girls tournament, according to nj.com — are up first. They host No. 14 Oakcrest in the first round at 5 p.m. The winner plays the winner of the game between No. 6 Middle Township and No. 11 West Deptford in the quarterfinals on March 1. The semifinals are set for March 3, with the championship game the following week.

Haddonfield is 15-4 as of Feb. 9. Manchester Township is the No. 1 overall seed.

The second-seeded Haddonfield boys take the court at 8 p.m. and will host No. 15 Cape May Tech in the first round of the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 2 boys tournament, according to nj.com. The winner plays the winner of the game between No. 7 Haddon Heights and No. 10 Pleasantville in the quarterfinals on March 1. The semifinals are set for March 3, with the championship game the following week.

Haddonfield is 17-2 this season as of Feb. 9.
