Haddonfield, Haddon Boys Basketball Teams Set For Playoffs

Haddonfield is the top seed in Group 2, while Haddon Township is No. 4 in Group 1.

The Haddonfield and Haddon Township high school boys basketball teams will pursue sectional titles this season. Haddonfield will compete for the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 2 title, while Haddon Township pursues the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 1 title, according to nj.com.

At 20-1, Haddonfield is the top seed in the tournament. The Bulldawgs will host No. 16 Barnegat in the first round on Monday, Feb. 25, 7 p.m. The winner will play the winner of the game between No. 8 Pennsauken Tech and No. 9 Middle Township in the quarterfinals on Feb. 27. The semifinals are set for March 1, with the championship game set for March 4.

Haddonfield is seven points away from being undefeated this season. Its only loss came at the hands of Paul VI, 59-52, on Jan. 12, according to nj.com. Barnegat is 10-11.

Haddon Township is the No. 4 seed in Group 1, and will host No. 13 Schalick in the first round on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 7 p.m.

The winner plays the winner of the game between No. 5 Overbrook and No. 12 Gloucester on Feb. 28. The semifinals are set for March 2, with the championship game scheduled for March 5.

Haddon Township is 11-10. Schalick is 7-13. At 16-2, Penns Grove is the top seed in the tournament.
