Haddonfield, Haddon Girls Basketball Teams Set For Playoffs

The Bulldawgs and the Hawks both earned high seeds in their respective sectional tournaments.

The Haddon Township and Haddonfield high school girls basketball teams each earned high seeds in their respective sectional tournaments.

Haddon Township is the No. 2 seed in the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 1 playoffs, and Haddonfield is the No. 3 seed in the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 2 playoffs, according to nj.com.

Haddon Township will host No. 15 Gateway in the first round on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 5 p.m. The winner plays the winner of the game between No. 7 Pitman and No. 10 Maple Shade in the quarterfinals on Feb. 28.

The semifinals will take place on March 2, with the championship game set for March 4.

Haddon Township is 14-6 this season with a six-game winning streak, according to nj.com. Haddon Township and Gateway were set to meet in a regular season game Tuesday night. Gateway is 7-12.

Haddonfield will host No. 14 Cedar Creek in the first round on Monday, Feb. 25, 5 p.m. The winner will play the winner of the game between No. 6 Collingswood and No. 11 Barnegat in the quarterfinals on Feb. 27.

The semifinals are scheduled for March 1, and the championship game is set for March 5.

Haddonfield is 17-4 this season, including a six-game winning streak. One of the Bulldawgs’ losses was a one-point defeat at the hands of Sterling, the No. 1 seed in South Jersey Group 2, according to nj.com. Cedar Creek is 7-15.
